Verb For Shoe "Smart Shoe"

Posted on 06 May 2008

There has been a lot of talk surrounding the MIT spinoff VectraSense’s Verb for Shoe "smart shoe" since as early as 2004 but now the company has made the sneakers available for pre-order. Having been four years and seen numbers of prototypes the basic idea is the same: an embedded computer automatically adjusts the shoe to your feet, syncs with your PC, and communicates with the shoes of others to exchange contact information. A fascinating piece of innovation and technology, although not sure if worth the $700usd for them.

Thanks to Engadget for the info.
