Spike Lee to shoot Jordan documentary

Posted on 22 May 2008

Variety magazine reports from Cannes that Spike Lee has announced plans to direct a full length feature documentary on the life of Michael Jordan which he hopes to bring to next year’s festival. The project will feature previously unseen footage shot by the NBA during Jordan’s final two seasons. The film will cap off a long creative partnership between Jordan and Lee that stretches back to Lee’s iconic Nike ‘Mars Blackmon’ ads for Jordan from the late 80’s early 90’s. Thanks to Frolab via the crew at Bounce magazine for the news.
