Most have heard of the names Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight, but Geoff Hollister, probably not so much, or at least I haven’t. Geoff was Phil’s track student and third pick Blue Ribbon Sports employee who began selling product out the trunk, humble beginnings-style. The rest, as they say, is history. The book “Out of Nowhere: The Inside Story of How Nike Marketed the Culture of Running” provides delightful insights as it takes the reader along in Geoff’s 33 year ride with the company. I haven’t been able to read it yet, but I recommend it anyway!
