Eat with the local flavour at this prawn mee stand at the start of Haji Lane. Dry or wet, the egg noodles are some of the best I've tasted ever. Typical Singaporean dish but recommended by all the locals, so you know it's good.

Local chicken rice snobs kept telling us that this is the one of the best chicken rice in town. Walk through the Mandarin towards the back of the Lobby, where you'll find the local restaurant Chatterbox, home of this infamous chicken rice.
