Earlier this year Ron Murphy died from a heart attack.
Very sad news.

Interview from the Submerge Podcast here.
Underground Resistance’s 'Mad' Mike Banks in DJ Mag, “Ron Murphy helped many a fledgling Detroit producer's early career. When they had a fucked up, out-of-phase, poorly-segued, four or eight-track piece-of-shit production, he would fix it. He would make it competitive to the [stuff] coming out of New York or Chicago. He did miracles with some of those records-ours included.“
To quote Aaron Carl from the Ron Murphy Memorial MySpace,
Ron Murphy, you have taught me so much over the years. I'm glad I was able to make you proud. I will continue on, using the lessons you taught me. I'll miss our conversations. Your spirit was so important to this city -- please keep your arms wrapped around us from Heaven.
Until the next time we meet again, I'll be thinking about you...
Love
Aaron-Carl
