2 days following my return to Shanghai from New York, we had to head out to Hang Zhou (China) for another convention, China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF). That's basically the biggest comic-con in Mainland China every year. I've been a visitor to this convention a number of times in the past, but this would be adFunture's first time participating in it. We were always a bit careful about doing these type of convention in the Mainland, but this year, we worked closely with the organizer to make sure we are presented correctly. Well, at least, do it "our way". We had 2 areas in this one convention, one is our corporate booth, and the other one is ran by the CICAF committee where they invited some key labels to be presented in another destinated display area. They gave us the largest space, which we are very grateful. Our whole team went to the venue for the week, so yeah, if you are trying to reach our studio this week, you can't.
For the public showing, the organizer gave us this space. I quite like the space, where we can set up like we would in our own gallery events. So again, thank you CDD.
When they said we can do whatever we want, I asked "WHATEVER we want? You sure? Have you seen what we did before?" We asked these 2 beautiful ladies to come help with the "crowd control".
The CICAF happens from April 28th to May 3rd. Check it out if you are in the region. Will post more about the actual CICAF later when I go back there to finish up.
A big thanks to the whole adFunture Crew for getting all this up and running. I know it was tough for the short preparation time. THANK YOU.
