PUMA and REX Shanghai worked together this past weekend on a fashion show titled BLACK MAGIC at Muse Club in Shanghai. The BLACK MAGIC showed off the Dassler footwear line of Puma, and a special garment collection that was put out by the joint forces of Puma and Rex. The garment capsule was basically a reconstruction of Puma apparel from previous seasons, Rex was responsible for the re-design and reconstruction of the clothing. I’m not an expert on Puma clothing, so I wouldn’t know which piece used to be what from which season, but what were presented at the showcase were very attractive, and fitting for everyday use. The collection will be available at REX’s stores soon.

Is always tricky to have a “cat walk” for shoes. How do you show off the Dassler line? Well, these guys had a pretty fun idea… have the models hold the shoes in their hands and show the shoes from all angles. Cleverly done.

Big ups to Clarence from Rex and the PUMA team. The crowd reacted to the show quite well. It would be interesting to see if Puma will do more in the Mainland market.
