Last week i was lucky to fulfill one of my childhood dreams: to pilot a plane. We drove down to Van Nuys Airtport - supposedly the busiest airport in the country where planes take off or land every 42 seconds to take the first lesson. Check the recap after the jump.
At 8 AM PT Weather is clear and perfect for flying
The school is owned by a 72 year old Bulgarian man who can't speak English.

Finally in the air on the way to Santa Ana.
Controlling the plane in the air is actually easier then it seems. The plane pretty much takes care of itself.
The famous Mainhall(?) pass - thru which not many pilots like fly due to unpredicatble winds.
Safe landing and lots left to learn.
This 1 hour counts towards the required 40 hours in order to get the pilot licence.
