The sun is finally out in London, and the first week of May brings The Spring Riot
at TheAceCafe hosted by The Executioners Car Club. Me and GrinningCowboy
headed down for some burnouts, beers and live Rockabilly music. As much as I love the
whole art of pre 66 car alteration, its always a good night for people watching and
just being part of a singularly private culture of enthusiasts, in an obscure corner of
London....
Members of Executions welcoming commitee..
Cloth caps and hob nail boots....
Actually some of the girls have better looking cars than the guys...

Hot rod couple admire metallic purple paint job, I am gonna bet they have a Tiki bar in there bungalow.
it's all in the eyes.....
Tat says Bombs Away! and a 50's Chevy Truck theme shirt....liking that.
One of the rare times it okay for men to wear (period correct ) dungarees.
I always enjoy these get togethers, to be part of a genuine private culture, that is self
preserving through its meticulous attention to detail, creativity, authenticity, music and just plain
enjoying life is a real privelage.
There is also alot to be said for black canvas lows, some rolled up jeans and a white
teeshirt. (that summer sorted, again)
see here for my favourite hot rod details and styling over at the lodges.
