DRUGHI BIANCONERO are the fighting football firm that support Italian team
Juventus. Bianco Nero refers to the black and white stripes of the Juve kit.
At some point in the eighties the Drughi adopted the imagery from the Stanley Kubrik film A Clockwork Orange as a way to define the aggressive approach and attitude of the fans. Taking directly the hard skinhead aesthetic
stance and look of the gang featured in the film and reducing it down to an instantly
recognisable silohetted graphic. A beautifully iconised vision of cold brutality which they have been placing on merchandise ever since.
The official website is Italian language and with an inherant disdain for English club fans
not suprisingly there is no option to buy or ship product to England or even the rest of the world.
In Italy the hooligan firms are very closely associated with the infrastructure of the
clubs they support and actually have an integral role in how aspects of that club work, firms also recieve free tickets to ensure there place in the stadium and create the passionate atmosphere that one expects from the game. Its incredible that the fans have in some way accidently created a viable brand with appeal parhaps far beyond the stadium terraces. Were it not for the unlicenced use of the Clockwork's imagery one that in the right hands would definately have international appeal.
