Regarding the 3 comments on the previous post.

I would like to thank the 3 of you pointing out what OBEY has done past & present.

Yes Mr Fariey can use Illustrator & yes perhaps or should I say he has used or kindly inpsired by other Artists, but at the same time that is what this whole game is about, taking something & editing to make it your own.

That is one of the cornerstones of Streetwear...I mean the most obvious is Fuct & Ford ( sorry Colonel )

Please do not get me wrong, I am not standing up for plagirism, but I am standing up for Artistic Editing...& all & sundry are guilty of this in some shape or form. So I see from the links on the comments we are looking at a small amount of designs compared to the 100's & 1000's that Shepard Fairey has done that may or may not be original ideas.

There  is always a starting point & that usually comes from inspiration of others work or the world around.

Yes I am defending Mr Fairey, I like & respect the  man for continuing to exist in this Game...it is not easy to feed the machine & at times one may step on others toes with out always being aware. As I continuosly quote my man Nas, 'No Idea is Original, There is nothing New Under the Sun, It's about What you do & How it is Done'

& Yes I am guilty of fighting the Colonel's corner when it came to Swagger & Mack Daddy, as they were blatantly obvious copies, as is the Obey Morrisey T & the Kelly D Williams T for Kreativ Network...sadly this does happen in our business & it will continue to do so.

That is the way of things, the way of this Game.

Don't lose heart, these things should make you stronger & make you thrive to do more & prove your talent further.

Make your stand &  fuck the rest...let them copy, just you try to stay one step ahead...that is all you can do.
