
Artist James Powderly, a founding member of Graffiti Research Lab was amongst five Americans arrested in China for an attempted protest against China’s occupation of Tibet. Powderly is reknown for his creation of the Green Lantern, a small laser that can project beams as far as 30 feet was going to be his tool as he lasered the words “Free Tibet” on a building near Tiananmen Squarelead while the group who unveiled a banner with the same slogan both in English and Chinese.
