Another great movie making the rounds right now is Shotgun Stories, directed by a kid from the North Carolina School of the Arts, Jeff Nichols. The film takes place in a tiny cotton farming town in Arkansas, and follows the feud of two sets of half-brothers after their father has passed. Like any film shot on a small budget, the movie itself definitely has a couple of flaws, but the script, the directing, and the vast majority of the performances more than make up for them. It's been making the festival rounds and racking up awards as it's gone. Check out this movie if you get a chance.
