Blogs in theory are a tool to self promote I guess, that doesn't by any means mean in a selfishly derived manner, but merely they are a personal thing... so with that said, this is the first in a new series of mine where I find a more effective way to self promote, and continue to add a personal touch to this blog..I'll try to highlight people who have influenced me in years passed or today..infact self 'promote' is probably not the right word at all.. how about self express.. self promote would however still be what some do..

1. Ray Petri

Buffalo is one of the most influential styles in fashion... alongside Petri others who can lay claim to their influence on the movement include, Mark Lebon, Nick Kamen, Judy blame, and others. Petri's look took bits and pieces of Britain's post-punk '80s: East Indians, blacks, punk whites, rude boys, mods, ragamuffin Jamaicans, New Romantics and boxers, and tossed them into a new genre of fashion most famously adopted by the likes of Neneh Cherry and others in this phase of hugely influential british fashion. Docs and Skirts! and a whole lot more, but an aesthetic that touched an era that meant so much towards the creation of further trends and times in fashion, music and culture. Ray Petri passed away in 1989 but his look will long live its day.. infact possibly out playing any other.. especially in my era. -Info and Images from here.
