Altamont put on an event at the Silent Movie Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca last Sunday for Ricky Powell and His World Famous Slideshow. The show featured slides of photographs taken by Powell, which feature some interesting subjects such as hip-hop icons, street photography, and screens from early 60’s television programs. The photographs were shown on a large screen with the famed photographer giving insight as to what was going on during the taking of the pictures. At the conclusion of the show, the crowd hung out while enjoying some frosty, cold-ones courtesy of Newcastle, and there was also a limited-edition Altamong bag giveaway by Ricky Powell.
