Ever since Nike first introduced the visible air back in 1987 it has become a catalyst for design and innovation for the sportwear brand. Introduced by Nike design mastermind Tinker Hatfield and when the second iteration of the shoe appeared the iconis status was born. It might have been the visible Air unit in the midsole that brought Air Max to light, but the unrivaled comfort and inspired colorways of Air Max 90 undoubtedly catapulted the shoe into the spotlight and the original Air Max become a platform for many things to come.

For 2008 this icon sneaker has been reborn incorperating two other sneakers of equal quality, the first is the the Air Current a sneaker which is a vintage collectors dream sneaker a silhoutte of great distinction and heralding toe box. The next ofcourse is the Nike Free which has become a hugely successful sneaker in its short existence due to the comfort  and especially with the groundbreaking technology in the sole making the shoe more and more prolific. Incorperating these three sneakers will define the movement of footwear as it is today and especially with Nike's status to evolve and belend the past, present and future of Nike.
