A Deluge of oddities, curiosities and zany pomo is what characterizes the photos featured in Martin Bell's newly released picture book entitled “My Birthday Party”. The book is a catalog of photographs that displays a collage of images that conveys feelings of nostalgia, rough pop synchronism, and disequilibrium. One cannot view these photographs what believing that something deeper is attempted to be expressed, and with enough time, the viewer may begin to uncloud the jaded message housed in these images.
