Posted by Elijah on April 14, 2008 9:56 PM | Email

RED ONE is a small digital camera company founded by Jim Jannard, the founder of Oakley. They just announced their latest product the Scarlet 3K handheld camera. The “3K” stands for three thousand lines of vertical resolution at which the small camera captures images, standard “high-definition” cameras capture at 1080 at best (below is a graphic to show the resolution comparison). The Scarlet 3k will be available early 2009 for $3000 and is compatible with all RED ONE accessories and records on to duel Compact Flash cards.
