Nike Be True exhibition in London

Posted by Will on April 11, 2008 4:19 PM | Email

Last night Nike UK held a party to launch their Dunk XXIII: Be True exhibition, which focuses on 23 members of London's creative community and their relationship with the iconic Dunk. London luminaries including Fats, James Lavelle and Goodenough UK designer Hitomi Yokyama had their portrait taken by Neil Bedford over several days, and the life-size photographs were then embellished with hand-drawn type and illustration by Kate Moross. The resulting bold and colourful images pay homage to the Dunk and its myriad colourways and are displayed in the exhibiton alongside artwork by Mark Ward and a film by Amazing Grace and Jason Jules documenting the whole process. Curated by Nike UK alongside Jason Jules and Carrie Mundane (Cassette Playa), the exhibiton will be on until the 27th April so head down to the Loading Bay Gallery off London's Brick Lane (next to Glorias) to have a look...

Thanks to Rufus for the photos.
