The Date Farmers who are the culmination of Armando Lerma and Carlos Ramirez will showcase a collecton of new works at Jonathan LeVine Gallery with an exhibition entitled The Crying Playboy on April 5. The Date Farmers for whom its their first show in New York have created collages, paintings, and crosshatch ink drawings using various canvases like signs, wood, cardboard, and corrugated sheet metal to make for a fascinating installation. With work inspired Mexican-American heritage each ariticle created can be influenced by either graffiti, Mexican street murals, traditional revolutionary posters, sign painting, prison art or tattoos making for a refreshing feel.
