"World's best-known protest symbol turns 50"

The 'Peace Symbol' is perhaps the world's most recognizable design and representation ever to be thought up. What started out as the emblem of the British anti-nuclear movement soon became an international sign for tranquility most highly associated with the anti-war movement. The BBC have put together a fascinating article following the history of the 'Peace Symbol' and how the meaning has evolved.
