Illustrative Berlin

Posted by James on March 05, 2008 11:32 PM | Email

Illustrative is dedicated solely to people who make illistrations and the illustrations themselves, well worth checking out.

"The art of illustration has often struggled to gain due credit, falling as it does into the median cultural spaces between fine arts, design and photography. But following the tide of increasingly blurred boundaries across the arts, illustration is fast becoming a credible discipline in its own right, in no small part thanks to Illustrative, the international illustration forum. Showcasing the original works of illustrators from around Europe, Illustrative runs for three weeks in Berlin then moves to Paris, Barcelona and Moscow into 2008. The idea behind the exhibitions is to create an open forum for established and new illustrators to display their work and discuss new developments in illustrative arts across the board."
