Be Kind Rewind is the latest film from the legendary New York based, French filmaker Michel Gondry. Gondry has written a story of two childhood friends in Passaic, New Jersey who set out to remake lost films. Exposing his creativity the actors feelings and reactions are tampered with to great effect, using his alternative theory of movie making to leave a lasting impression. Be Kind Rewind featuring the likes of Jack Black and Mos Def is in theaters now, and you can catch a peak at the Tribeca Cinema. More of Gondry's highly acclaimed work is on exhibition at the Deitch Projects in Soho. With the identically titled name to his new film, the installation exhibition is intended to allow you to make your own film at his ‘amateur movie set’. The exhibition is up until March 22 so definitely worth your while.
