We recently reported the great heights the art, more importantly Banksy's art at the Bonham's Urban Art Auction sold for and now come the results of the Valentine’s Day (Auction) Red at Sotheby's in New York are out and by the looks of it you would never guess we’re in the middle of a full-blown recession. The much anticipated item was that of british most famed artist at present Damien Hirst and Banksy titled “Keep it Spotless” which has actually a Hirst piece been reworked by Banksy fetched an impressive $1,870,000 USD, far exceeding its estimated $250,000 - $350,000 price bracket. Hirst benafited most as his prices skyrocketed through the auction with his most expensive work, the massive stainless steel pill case titled “Where There’s a Will There’s a Way” going for an astounding $7,150,000 USD.If this was not for a good cause I do not know what I would be sayin about these prices, and the fact that all purchases are tax deductable may go along way.
