Emory Douglas studio tour @ Babylon Falling

Posted by K Moto on February 09, 2008 7:27 AM | Email

Babylon Falling has posted video of their recent studio tour with former Black Panther Minister for Culture Emory Douglas. Douglas discusses the relationship between his vividly polemic art, his community and the achievements of the Black Panther movement. The still photography of Shaun Roberts brings a beautifully meditative quality to the feature. If you're on the west coast you can still catch the retrosospective of Emory's influential work which is currently showing at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, or drop by Babylon Falling in San Francisco where some of his original pieces are on display alongside the first public exhibition of his most contemporary work.
