Sloan Gallery Saves The Lower East Side

Posted on 06 February 2008

Sloan Gallery opened its doors last week with a remarkable echibition which included new work from Eric White, Clayton Brother, Vince Contarino, Nicholas Cope, Elizabeth McGrath, Kristen Schiele and Aaron Smith. Located at the corner of Rivington and Norfolk in the heart of the Lower East Side, Alix Sloan is poised to dominate the scene by playing host to some of the neighborhood’s most anticipated shows including the next introductory group show which will feature Mark Ryden’s long-anticipated return to Manhattan. Sloan Gallery is a rare space that really pays homage to the Lower East and Sloan has been a long time server of the area which iin return makes Alix a distinctive figure in the scene.
