Posted by LB on January 25, 2008 12:40 AM | Email

These images are from Japanese artist Kazuumi Takahashi's first monograph. His images explore the relationship between the ocean and the moon. It also taps into his own relationship with the ocean and moon relating to his own upbringing. He grew up near the sea and was the son of a fisherman. The schedule of the tides greatly influenced his daily activities, as the moon does the tides. The book consists of 25 double page spreads with the moon on the left and ocean on the right. This book is in a limited edition of 1,000 and can be bought through Nazraeli Press or online through Photoeye. via Cool Hunting.
