Our Artist Profiles are a new feature to the site, where we give you a rough introduction to numerous artists each week from around the world, we started the other day with a look at the work of Stanley Donwood, and today we introduce Herbert Baglione.

Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Baglione's street art has a raw illustrative quality and while his work has become famous first and foremost on the streets of Brazil and within the ever rapidly growing international world of Street Art, his work within the print and graphics industries has also become hugely influential, with his work for Vogue and other publications. His works also culminated in his first book release recently released by FIFTY24SF Books entitled "Vossia", the book examines his work from painting, mural, graffiti , installations, to street art.

Baglione's work has a distinctive style, most obvious with his distinct black and white characters. Check out the image gallery below for examples of his work, and more at his site which acts as an amazing portfolio of one of the most exciting artists to come out of South America in some time.
