The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal

WebUrbanist has an interesting write up of Matt McCormick’s film The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal. Although a few years old it can still be found on the Best of Resfest Vol. 3. The short film brings up the interesting concept that one can find art in the painting over of graffiti done by local authorities. Whether you agree with this concept or not its an interesting idea to keep in mind when walking around a city. Recently there is also a group on Flickr that has been documenting these kind of “art” pieces in different cities.
